Аннотация. В статье показаны формирование и развитие северных территорий Красноярского края в 1940–1971 гг. В статье был использован конкретно-исторический подход, позволяющий вписать конкретную модель местного сообщества в контекст советской истории ХХ века. На основе материалов Государственного архива Красноярского края – постановлений Красноярского крайкома КПСС анализируется стратегия освоения Енисейского севера, которая не была оригинальна и подчинялась установкам Центра. В рассматриваемое время в зависимости от принципов и темпов модернизации экономики страны происходило форматирование традиционного хозяйства северян, шла деформация всего комплекса народных промыслов. Была сделана попытка сформировать товарное производство на основе добычи пушнины, рыбы. При этом слабо учитывались социокультурные реалии конкретной территории. Процесс индустриализации и перевода традиционного хозяйства на экономические рельсы сопровождался коренной ломкой всех сторон общественной и личной жизни оленевода-кочевника, вел к отказу от традиционной культуры.
