The Visualization of Russian Cultural Identity in the works of Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abstract.<\/strong> The article is devoted to the works of Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin, a Russian artist and illustrator who worked in late XIX \u2013 early XX centuries. The creative life of the artist is shown as conscious working on visualizing Russian cultural identity. Philosophical and art analysis was chosen as the basic method of the research. There were two works illustrating Russian folk tales chosen as the representative ones in the research. As the result of the analysis there are conclusions on the main characteristics of the Russian world and culture visualized in the artist\u2019s works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reported study was funded by Krasnoyarsk Regional Fund of Science according to the research project: \u00abDevelopment of scientific and methodological support for the preservation of a unique cultural heritage for the Ket and Enets ethno-cultural groups of indigenous small peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East living on the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
