Abstract.<\/strong> Folklore plays an important role in the study of peoples. This is a kind of source that contains the original worldview attitudes of people and therefore is of great interest to researchers. In this article, a number of their mythological texts served as a source for the analysis of the values and ideas about the world of the Nenets people. For analysis, such texts as \u201cStupid Yang-Teta\u201d, \u201cThree Sihirts\u201d, \u201cOrphan Pyasya\u201d, \u201cNyyavu Woman\u201d, \u201cMighty Puchi\u201d, \u201cTwo Old Men Mando\u201d, \u201cWitch\u201d, \u201cFox Hat\u201d, “Poor Khorolya”, “Old Man Khabi”, “Nardale”, “Son of a Horse”, “Russian Old Man”, “White Beak of an Eagle”, “Shaman Man”. The texts were analyzed according to the following criteria: the role of religion in the life of the Nenets, moral values, the role of male and child images, the role of warriors and shamans, the symbolism of natural phenomena. These criteria allowed the author to substantiate the value components of the Nenets worldview, which are manifested through a special attitude to religion, shamans, nature, the qualities of men and warriors, and family moral qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
