TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS AT THE WATERCOLOR FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abstract. <\/strong>In the first decades of the 21st century, a new type of festivals appeared in the art sphere \u2014 watercolor painting festivals. Despite their novelty and recent appearance, they quickly spread throughout the world. Held in different regions of the world, they annually attract a large number of watercolor lovers and participants \u2014 watercolor artists. Despite the fact that watercolor festivals are rapidly spreading, the issue of neither the technological component of festivals, nor the festivals themselves has not been raised in scientific circles until recently. In this paper, the author’s definition of a watercolor festival is proposed. Information technologies play a significant role in the development of watercolor festivals, which, firstly, provide more effective ways of interaction between organizers, artists and spectators; secondly, make this type of event modern, exciting and memorable. The purpose of the study: to study the possibilities of using technological innovations in holding watercolor festivals. As research methods, the author turns to the analysis of sources, generalization, included observation and description. The article emphasizes the importance of using technological innovations at watercolor festivals, since their implementation contributes to the fact that the festival becomes more technological, interactive and accessible not only to participants, but also to a wide range of lovers of the art of watercolor painting. Using the example of the International Watercolor Festival \u00abSpirit of Watercolor\u00bb, which has been held in the triennial mode in Varna since 2016, the author identifies several areas of application of technological innovations at watercolor festivals, analyzes the ways and forms of their use. The results obtained can be useful for practitioners in the field of organizing watercolor painting festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
