Abstract.<\/strong> The article is devoted to the study of art criticism as a system of critical tools, through which it is possible to solve the problems of a full-fledged relationship between the reader and the work of art in the space of art-critical text. The study defines the main criteria for a work of fine art, the features that it possesses and thanks to which it can become the subject of art criticism of the magazine. As a subject of art criticism, the author turns to the system of works of fine art and conducts an experiment in the creation of art-critical text (based on the painting \u201cPrincess Tarakanova\u201d, 1864, created by artist Konstantin Dmitrievich Flavitsky). Fiction-critical text has the role of a mediator in relation to the reader and the work of fine art, and also allows the reader to undergo the training of the viewer in the space of the critical text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
