Abstract. In the post-industrial world, artificial intelligence is becoming more and more perfect, its application in the scientific field has significantly influenced the development of the socio-cultural environment. One of the developing areas of AI in the modern world is the direction of preserving the cultural characteristics of the indigenous peoples of the North. The article is devoted to language applications that contribute to the preservation of the national languages of small peoples. The study includes an analytical review of the scientific literature, which highlights topics and problems related to the study and consideration of artificial intelligence, as well as the preservation of the languages of the CMNS. The analysis of 10 randomly selected language applications is carried out, a generalization is presented, including 5 linguistic sections, within which the analyzed programs were included. The following conclusions are made: firstly, most of the language programs are included in the sections “Vocabulary” (100%) and “Phonetics” (70%). Secondly, the less popular categories of the table are “Orthoepy” (30%); “Grammar” (40%) (including “Morphology” and “Syntax”); “Morphemics” (10%). Thirdly, this scientific article shows that language applications (programs) play an important role in preserving the national dialect, since applications are publicly available; they increase people’s interest in the culture of small peoples; contribute to the preservation and dissemination of the written language of indigenous small peoples; expand the capabilities of national communities and increase their resistance to the challenges of globalization and cultural assimilation. Fourth, the consideration of language applications within linguistic sections revealed their shortcomings, analyzing which developers can improve the product, make it more user-friendly.
