Abstract. The article examines modern artificial intelligence technologies and explores the possibilities of their application in the field of cultural heritage preservation. The theoretical foundations of the concept of «artificial intelligence» are analysed, the evolution of its definitions in an interdisciplinary context is traced, and key approaches to its interpretation are identified. Particular attention is paid to the rational agent model as a conceptual framework most relevant to the tasks of cultural analysis, digital reconstruction, and artifact interpretation. Based on the systematization of current technologies, such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, speech recognition and synthesis, semantic artificial intelligence, and anomaly detection their potential is revealed in addressing issues related to the preservation, documentation, analysis, and dissemination of tangible and intangible cultural heritage objects.
Keywords: artificial intelligence, AI technologies, cultural heritage.
