Abstract. A message is given based on the results of the work of the International Conference “The Arctic Circle 1944- 1945: War, Everyday Life, Memory”. The scientific event was held from October 08 to October 09, 2019 in Moscow and was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Finland’s withdrawal from World War II and the Petsamo-Kirkines operation. The conference brought together several dozen authoritative experts from the Second World War from Russia and the countries of Scandinavia. The message highlights the main points put forward by speakers in speeches and discussions.
