Abstract. The article presents an analysis of works of decorative and applied art of Taimyr masters. The analyzed works of Taimyr bonfires reproduce several stable themes: 1) the life and culture of the peoples of Taimyr; 2) tundra and its inhabitants; 3) Taimyr myths, fairy tales and legends; 4) shamanism as a traditional belief of the peoples of the North. These creations retain and convey a unique view of a person and the world around him, knowledge of the history of his ethnic group, his faith. The works are able to accumulate the generic memory of humanity, demonstrating truly significant values of ethnic groups, offer to touch them to modern people.
