Abstract. The concept of love has its own unique meaning and semantic content in each individual religious and aesthetic system. The concept of Sufism also builds its own system of understanding love, through which the true relationship between a Muslim and God is revealed. The purpose of this study is to identify the semantic content of the concept of love embedded in the religious and aesthetic concept of Sufism. The material for the study was the treatise “Savanih” by Ahmad Ghazali. A qualitative analysis of the text was carried out, various aspects of the concept of love, highlighted in the concept of Sufism, were systematized. As a result of the study, the compensatory function of the treatise was determined. It has been revealed that the concept of love in the concept of Sufism is revealed through the relationship of the individual with the Absolute Unity. Through Absolute Unity the highest love is declared. True love is contained in the love of the lover, since he is the initiator of falling in love, while the beloved exists and does not have in her being the ability to experience the same true love. The perfection of love is characterized by contemplation; there is no guideline for moving forward, since there is nothing further beyond the beginning, Absolute Unity. Love in Sufism is understood in diametrically different ways, implying the properties and actions of the lover, but the basis is the dissolution and disappearance of the lover and the designation of the One Reality, the Absolute as perfect and omnipresent love.
