Abstract. The production of radio-electronic products is a strategically important industry. Most often, enterprises of this type use a make-to-order strategy, in turn, such production is characterized by seriality, not mass production. In addition to serial production, another feature is a large number of nomenclature items with a diverse life cycle and technological chain. Due to the increased complexity of flexible small-scale production, the costs incurred by such enterprises are usually higher than in mass production systems. All this creates the need for effective use of available funds, identification and optimal use of production capacity potential. The use of simulation modeling is an opportunity to create digital models of logistics systems (for example, production), optimize the operation of production workshops, production lines, as well as individual logistics processes. The article discusses possible applications of the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software for modeling production processes and highlights the advantages of using such modeling. The developed simulation model allows the use of some integrated optimization tools and advanced analytical tools to optimize the throughput and operation of manufacturing enterprises and individual logistics processes and minimize work-in-progress.
