Abstract. This article analyzes the representation of Slavic mythological motifs in contemporary Russian digital art. The study focuses on the processes of rethinking traditional folklore and mythological heritage in the digital environment, where ancient images lose their illustrative function and acquire new philosophical and aesthetic meanings. The article examines the main trends in digital art in Russia, as well as the specific ways in which contemporary artists approach Slavic mythology as an open cultural code that allows for interpretation, deconstruction, and authorial reinterpretation. Particular attention is paid to the work of digital artist Ksenia Skvortsova (Iren Horrors Art), whose works combine Slavic motifs with Gothic aesthetics and the visual language of dark fantasy. Based on V. I. Zhukovsky’s philosophical and art historical method, a detailed analysis of the work Mavka (2024) is carried out, revealing the material, indexical, iconic, and symbolic levels of the artistic image. It is shown that the image of Mavka functions as a visual model of the ontological transition between life and death. The study concludes that digital art is becoming a particularly adequate medium for expressing the chthonic and liminal aspects of Slavic mythology, and that contemporary artists are co-authors of myth, forming new cultural meanings in the context of 21st-century visual culture.
