Abstract. This article explores the transformative impact of digital technologies on museum and exhibition projects. The study investigates how digitalization is reshaping the museum sector, focusing on changes in exhibition space organization and audience engagement strategies. The research object is museum and exhibition projects, and the subject is the transformation of such projects under the influence of digital technologies.

The analysis encompasses the unique characteristics of museum and exhibition projects, including typologies, alongside methods of spatial organization. The theoretical framework is grounded in concepts of “invisible computing,” cyberspace, and virtual reality. The article examines the application of key digital technologies within the museum context, including artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, 3D scanning, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing.

The findings demonstrate that digital transformation is driving a shift away from the traditional museum model centered on artifact preservation towards a dynamic, interactive platform for cultural communication. The role of the curator is also evolving, transitioning towards that of a facilitator who engages visitors in dialogue with art through multimedia and interactive experiences.

The article concludes by emphasizing that the future of the museum and exhibition sector in the digital age hinges on the ability of museums to adapt and leverage digital tools to broaden accessibility and create immersive exhibitions. A crucial contribution of this study is the identification of ethical dilemmas associated with digital integration within museum spaces and the need for new business models and resource support for museums with varying levels of access to digital technologies

Keywords: museum and exhibition project, exhibition space, digital transformation.
